- Identify obstacles faced by special education teachers in special schools in attaining higher level of professional competence through semi-structured interviews of the teachers.
- Identify obstacles faced by teachers in general education schools in attaining higher level of professional competence in providing special education to students with special education needs through semi-structured interviews of the teachers.
- Assess the deficiencies in current system of special education in catering to special education needs through interviewing and observing students with learning deficiencies.
- Assess the concerns of parents and guardians of students with learning deficiencies in improving the overall experience of special education system through surveying them.
- Evaluate the obstacles identified in the previous steps of this research objective list and identify key obstacles which are having major impact on attainment of expertise by teachers in special education in Saudi Arabia.
- Suggest policy reforms and guidelines, if any, that may have been observed or identified, during the process of this research.
