Write two meaningful paragraphs. The first paragraph should be a self-introduction. The second paragraph should be on some aspect of your culture or community.

You will find an example of each type of paragraph in the lesson for Unit 1.

Follow these guidelines:

Be sure that each paragraph has a topic sentence, supporting details, and a closing sentence. Just to be sure, do the 4-F Test.

Type both paragraphs in one Microsoft Word document.

Double-space your paragraphs. The best way to do this is to apply automatic double spacing to the document in Microsoft Word. If you don’t know how to do this, Google “how to double space in Word.” Don’t hit “Enter/Return” at the end of each line.
Format your document according to MLA or APA style conventions. (If you don’t know what these are, please contact your tutor and ask.)

Assignment length: 

Two meaningful paragraphs of approximately 100–200 words each.
