Why it important and necessary for feminist discourses in Women’s and Gender Studies to think critically about the concept of a ‘universalized’ experience of womanhood or oppression?

Why is the concept of intersectionality so important for discourses in Women’s and Gender Studies? How has the concept of intersectionality impacted feminist discourses in Women’s
and Gender Studies?
For this answer, draw upon Truth (2018), Cho, Crenshaw, and McCall (2013),Crenshaw’s Ted Talk (2016), and Razack (2009).
