Students are to write a research paper, regarding a health topic of their choosing. Students can choose
any disease or disorder. Examples could include Heart Failure, Diabetes, Asthma, Ebola, Arthritis,
Multiple Sclerosis, etc.
This paper should fully explain the health topic to the reader. Paper must include introduction, detailed
information about the disease or disorder. This includes causes and risk factors, signs and symptoms,
treatments, outcomes, if contagious the mode of transmission, and any other information related to the
topic. All information has to come from a scholarly source. Students are not to copy/paste from
websites, but put the information into their own words.
This is an academic research paper, and should not contain I, me, my, or other personal references.
Personal stories of illness or experiences are not appropriate for this assignment.
