Toxic House Informational Pamphlet
Choose a common household chemical that people are exposed to routinely and make a tri-fold informational pamphlet, using Microsoft Word
or Google Docs (or similar), describing the dangers of that chemical.
The pamphlet is to include the following information at a minimum:
● Name of the chemical
● What type of common household items the chemical is found in.
● Effects the chemical has on human health.
● Ways to prevent or minimize exposure
● Alternative non-toxic products
● Pictures of household items that include the chemical and pictures of alternative products
● Visually appealing layout with 14 pt font
● Come up with a creative name for your organization which is publishing the
pamphlet
The following is a list of common household chemicals from which you can choose:
● Sodium Hypochlorite
● Formaldehyde
● Perchloroethylene (perc)
