A Crash Course in Contemporary Issues, covered a wide range of contemporary issues including sexuality, gender roles, abortion, reproductive technology, immigration, race, climate change, animal welfare, and politics. As you begin working on your Personal Culture and Worldview Paper Assignment, you will be examining and articulating your cultural identity in specific areas for that assignment. For this discussion, focus on defining what hospitality and identity confusion mean to you. In addition to citing and referencing authors from Cultural Engagement, include your faith in this discussion. Identity confusion was referred to in Strachan’s (2019) essay on women and work; however, you can apply this concept to any of the issues from our reading.
Dong and Lowe (2019) discuss hospitality in their essay on immigration. Explore this concept of hospitality by thinking about what this means to you in working with people who are different than you.
