Movie Assignment
Movies and Television Series are an effective means of connecting what we have learned about conflict and communication in class to the stories that they tell.
Prepare a review of a movie or television series that demonstrates the conflict management and communications concepts learned.
- In your own words, briefly summarize the background to the conflict in your selected clips (2-3 clips to be included).
- Describe why you chose this movie/TV Series to demonstrate conflict concepts.
- Demonstrate how the clips relate to three specific chapters of the course.
- Ensure an explanation of the course concept is included in your presentation.
- Illustrate each of the concepts you have highlighted, show a short clip from the movie (about 2-4 minutes each). Ensure you explain how the clip relates to your points.
- Reflect and discuss your own reactions to the conflict and the conflict management and communications approaches portrayed in the movie.
- What was the conflict? What was done to resolve it? What was the outcome? Why do you think is was resolved or not resolved?
