Your writing assignment for this module is to produce a “Empirical Review” paper. You will research your chosen topic of psychology concentrating on some particular aspect of the issue/problem presented.
1. Choose an ’empirical” paper. That is, one with experimental methodology, data collection procedures and a statistical analysis.
2. In your review, briefly review the experimental methodology and statistical analysis, and describe how they relate to the goals of the experiment. Mention at least one more peer reviewed paper for comparison purposes.
3. For this type of review you must use primary sources. Look on PUBMED or APA Psycinfo for recent experimental articles. Popular literature or review articles will not be sufficient for this assignment.
Your Empirical Review 1 paper should have the following elements.
1. Title page. (APA format – running head, page#, ID information).
2. Introduction. (APA format, minimum 2 pages and minimum 2 references cited/reviewed).
3. References. (APA format). For this assignment there is a 2 reference minimum but providing more would be acceptable.
