Climate change is a serious issue in today’s world, and as humans, we must make a change to save the environment. I believe that humans are not in complete control of the changing climate, but we contribute to global warming tremendously. I think that the earth is ever-changing, and species on this earth will continue to adapt to their living conditions. As humans evolved, we have changed our mindset about ourselves and nature. We often see ourselves separated from nature and as if we are superior to nature (Petersen et al., 2007). Unfortunately, with this perspective, we are hindering the connection that we once shared with nature. Humans are nature, but that view is lacking in the modern world (Petersen et al., 2007). I believe that if humans rekindled their relationship with nature, we can begin to restore the damages we have made. Changing the mindset of the human population about the connection with nature and our environment can contribute to the start of change.
