Throughout this course, we have discussed the rights of students and teachers and related legal cases. After reviewing the Code of Ethics from the NEA, discuss how following these principles will help an educator avoid violating the rights of others and possible legal action. Evaluate the relationship between the law and its effects on the staff, school, and students.
Review the NEA Code of Ethics, http://www.nea.org/home/30442.htm and choose 3 points from
Principle I: Commitment to the Student and 3 points from Principle II: Commitment to the Profession. You will then review the cases discussed in this course and match one case to each of your chosen principles and explain the connection. Then evaluate the relationship between the case, the Principle, and our current education system.
The NEA Code of Ethics Written Assignment must include:
