Choose an interesting limestone in the area, home,work place, or public place.Samples can be described from outcrops, core, thin sections, or building stone,including tiles found in a hardware/building supply store. Each student will write a short,but detailed description including rock name, components,and also include images of the sample as well as an interpretation of the depositional environment and diagenetic history.
