CLCS-110 Project Proposal and Project Guide Due Dates Proposal:
.The project is intended to allow you to delve more deeply into aspects of the course material, particularly focused on a public health problem (or challenge) that is caused or exacerbated by underlying political instability,social unrest, and/ or environmental degradation. You will need to surmise the interactions based on our class discussions and readings but then confirm your public health problem with evidence from the literature (e.g.,scholarly articles and book chapters) and/or reputable media.
You could choose to use Haiti as your focus, or you could choose to do a comparative analysis with a different country or region of the world.
Once you choose your topic and setting,you could choose to develop interventions or pose approaches that might address the public health problem, or choose to analyze and evaluate or compare approaches that have been taken elsewhere with those taken in Haiti.
Summary of scope of work.For your chosen topic, you should explain how you are going to investigate and act on the problem presented.
You should address each of the following issues,plus any others that you think might be relevant to your specific case:
Define the problem to be investigated
Review the literature to determine what is already known about the problem. Plan to consult at least six sources. These may be articles,scholarly websites, and other sources that are reputable. If you are having difficulty finding sources, please consult with Kateor Leroy.
Determine what additional information you would like to know about the setting and target population. This might be websites and other types of resources.
Devise a plan to further study and solve the problem.You do not need to actually solve the problem but propose a possible solution.

In order to help you develop your projects in a timely manner, we will ask you to provide a written proposal description, that you will also share with the class, that contains an annotated bibliography of at least six sources. If a sources an interview, indicate for the proposal who you plan to interview.
Part of the proposal description should include an outline of the sections of your project.
This written proposal description may take the form of a slide presentation (e.g., PowerP) or a workflowdiagram/project map, or other visual aid.
